Be Your Best Self with Some Self-Care

Owning your own business can be incredibly rewarding, but also incredibly time consuming and stressful. Unwind and recharge with self-care. Self-care is basically defined as “care for oneself” and we’re giving you 40 wonderfully-simple ideas to care for yourself!



Make sure to find time in your schedule to do things that center you and energize you. You’ll be a better real estate agent, partner, mom, friend, because of it!!


40 Fun and Easy Ways to Be Good to Yourself ✨

  • Get cozy and read
  • Pray and be still 
  • Bake something delicious
  • Cook something new
  • Take a bath or a shower (when you don’t have to be anywhere!)
  • Go for a walk outside
  • Watch you kids play at a park
  • Play with your kids at a park (I love the swings!)
  • Watch a funny show or movie and laugh
  • Take a nap in the middle of the day
  • Have coffee in bed with some mindless daytime tv
  • Get your hair or nails done (or both!)
  • Have coffee with friends
  • Go on a date with your best friend
  • Sit with your pet and love on them
  • Have dinner with your family at the table 
  • Try out a group workout with drinks after
  • Get a massage or enjoy a spa day
  • Buy a new candle and chill with it
  • Find a workout dance video on Youtube and dance
  • Make a playlist of your favorite songs to sing to…and sing
  • Get dressed up and go somewhere new
  • Find somewhere quiet outside and listen to nature noises
  • Clean out your social feeds and unfollow any account that doesn’t bring you joy
  • Write a list of everything you love and are grateful for
  • Write a letter to someone you haven’t talk to in a while
  • Get cozy at night and stargaze
  • Color, paint, or create something awesome
  • Give your loved ones a really long hug
  • Do a task that you’ve been avoiding
  • Walk around your neighborhood and listen to the environment
  • Clean and organize your office space
  • Rearrange or paint a room
  • Clean your sheets and light a candle and lay in your clean bed
  • Watch a TED Talk or inspirational video
  • Make a goals list and encourage yourself
  • Write down anything you’re nervous about – clear it from your head
  • Do something nice for someone you love
  • Volunteer to help out someone you may not know
  • Do something you loved doing as a kid – mine is riding a bike!


My favorite way to unwind is to sit down and watch some really “bad” reality TV. I also LOVE going for walks outside – especially in the spring and fall. I also really love going on a date with my husband, playing a game with my kids, or going on a fun weekend night hang sesh with my BFFs! 💓
